Board Chairman's Message
2009-2010
Have you ever thought about what you get from your membership in Sage Community Resources? What is your Return on Investment (ROI) from Sage?
As the Chairman of the Board for Sage Community Resources, I asked myself a question in reviewing the relationship I believe we should all cultivate as members: How do we take advantage of the asset we have in this incredible organization for our ten county region?
What are you doing to increase your Sage ROI? Before I end every conversation I have with an elected official or community member from the 10 counties in our region, I think "How have I partnered with Sage today to make my county, city, business, and community more efficient, effective, and successful?" Ask yourself this question.
The history of Sage gives each of us, as members, the opportunity to share many great successes in helping both the public and private sectors within our counties and cities. The economic needs in each of our communities should drive the conversations and lead to the sharing of Sage resources and expertise. Both the Business & Community Development Department and the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) are highly qualified teams of professionals who stand ready to either help deliver a service or provide the answer to a need through one of the diverse programs offered.
Sage as a Service (SAS) could certainly be our new buzz word! The membership can become the essential marketing arm needed to spread the successful story of Sage. I encourage you to think "is there a role for Sage?" as you explore your community needs. This is a simple but critical way in which we can help ensure that Sage staff and programs are there when we need them and to receive the ROI our citizens need and want from our investment in this most valuable organization.
