Services Provided:

Sage Community Resources is designated as the economic development district for the ten southwest Idaho counties by the governor of Idaho and the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA).

As an economic development district, the Planning Department annually prepares a Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS), which:

  • Provides a "snapshot" of the region's economy.
  • Summarizes "best practices" development strategies.
  • Enumerates the local and regional economic development priorities for investment in the next five years
  • Our focus centers on promoting economic development in the rural areas of our district.
  • Sage Community Resource's special relationship with the EDA enables participating jurisdictions to receive targeted investment attention from the EDA and other public programs, including the Rural Development Administration (RDA) and the balance of the state allocations of the Idaho Community Development Block Grants (ICDBG).
  • Download the 2009-2014 Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy

Our goal is to stimulate job creation, community facility development, and business expansion and retention.

We regularly update information regarding the public works and planning requirements of our member communities. The Project Intake Form collects just enough information to assist with further development of the project. Click here for the form.
